Legato is one evil guy. He has mastered the power of telepathy and can make anyone do his bidding, at any time. He's incredibly faithful to Vash's twin brother, Knives, and will do anything to please him. He shows up in episode 12 eating a hotdog of all things, and leaves a lovely little paper-bag on the bench for Vash as a "present." Seconds later, a woman runs into the street claiming her husbands been murdered. Know wuts in the bag yet? The murdered guys head!! Anyway, Legato ends up using his mind control on Vash to force him to shoot him in the head. Not only ending the life of one hot guy, but causing Vash the ultimate pain by breaking his promise not to kill.
